Where are you located?
3108 N. Grand Blvd. St. Louis, MO 63107. In the old YMCA building.
What are your business hours?
Because of the varied nature of our programs, we do not have standard business hours. However, we ensure the front desk is staffed Monday-Friday, 9am–4pm.

What are the requirements for volunteering?
Volunteers must fill out the Volunteer Profile Sheet, complete the online orientation and attend an in-person volunteer training.
What is my time commitment?
Your time commitment depends on your serving role and how many opportunities you commit to.
May I volunteer more than one shift per week?
Of course you can! Many of our volunteers give their time more than once a week. We are especially interested in recruiting long-term volunteers. It's truly up to your schedule availability.
Are there weekend volunteer opportunities?
While there are not often in-house weekend opportunities, mentors make their own hours. Therefore, weekends are potential options and is based on the availability of your mentee.
What should I bring with me to volunteer?
All volunteers should bring a warm smile and willingness to engage and interact! Some volunteers may have curriculum or resources that we provide that they may want to bring to class.
What should I wear?
The dress code for all volunteer positions except Career Advocates is casual. For Career Advocates, we ask you dress in business casual in order to model correct workplace attire for program participants.
I can no longer make my shift! Who should I contact?
If you will be running late or unable to make your volunteer shift, please email Trinity at trinity@missionstl.org. Please give as much advance notice as possible.
I need to complete community service requirements. Can I fulfill this requirement at Mission: St. Louis?
Yes! We will work with you to find a good service opportunity that fits both your interests and requirements. Please contact Trinity at trinity@missionstl.org for more information.

What are the parking options when I come to volunteer?
Parking is available on Sullivan alongside the building or street parking may be available on Grand. Volunteers should enter through the front door of the building located on Grand, and someone will be at the desk inside the door to welcome you upon arrival.
Who is the target population served by Beyond Jobs?
Men and women who are experiencing multiple barriers to employment.
Is there an age requirement for volunteering?
The majority of our opportunities are best suited for adults, however, if you are a younger volunteer or interested in having your child volunteer alongside you, please contact Trinity at trinity@missionstl.org
My company provides time for me to volunteer in the community. Are there opportunities for a team of people from my work to all volunteer together?
Yes! We have both daytime and evening opportunities for both individuals and groups! If you have specific questions about volunteer opportunities, please contact Trinity at trinity@missionstl.org.
I’m nervous I won’t be a good fit for working with your program participants. How can I know if this is the right opportunity for me?
There are a variety of ways to get involved, and we hope that we can find one that fits your interests! We encourage you to attend a volunteer on-boarding to learn about the program and volunteer experience, and review the online on-boarding materials available on the new volunteer dashboard.
