Vice President of Education
Erin is a Certified Reading Specialist with a Master's Degree in Teaching Reading. She has two kids, Yuri + Kye. She enjoys running, spikeball, watching most any sport, + patio-sitting. Erin is a fan of all things St. Louis + can go toe-to-toe with anyone when it comes to quoting Seinfeld.

Gabrielle has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting from Washington University in St. Louis. She enjoys road trips, wandering through art museums, reading, public transit + spending time with her sisters.
Beyond School Program Manager
Rebekah is a native St. Louisian with a Bachelors Degree in Communication Arts from Hannibal LaGrange University. She enjoys traveling + the outdoors, but knows there is nothing better than cuddling with her fur-baby, Suki, while binge watching Netflix + eating take out Chinese food.
Peter graduated from Drury University with a Bachelor of Science, English + his TESOL/ ESL/ TEFL Certification. Peter taught ESL in Costa Rica + has returned to the United States to further his career in education while being closer to his friends + family. He loves nature, being a self-proclaimed nerd + reading every day. St. Louis has always been his home + he loves being able to serve in it. One of his favorite things is how many parks we have!

Kekua graduated from Missouri Baptist University here in St. Louis, MO. They majored in Mathematics + Christian Ministry with an emphasis in Secondary Education + hopes to engage in the urban school districts. Their favorite things include hanging out with friends, swinging in their hammock, playing card games, + having big adventures.

Elora recently graduated from Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo, where she received her BFA in Creative Writing. Fun fact - she is in a soccer league + is currently writing a fantasy novel. In her free time she likes to crotchet, hang out with her friends, walk around our parks + watch k-dramas.

Patrick received his Associate Degree in Engineering Science from STLCC Florrissant Valley. He is an avid gamer + his hot take is that he is one of the few people that likes Star Trek + Star Wars equally. He considers himself a tech geek + an Apple fanboy. Patrick’s favorite part about St. Louis is anything that allows him to spend time with his wife, how sweet!

Nassir is the oldest of three siblings + is from a small town in Upstate New York. He loves St. Louis’ rich history, diverse population + fast-paced environment. Did we mention Nassir is a first generation college graduate? Way to go!

Todd came to St. Louis over 20 years ago from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. Upon arriving in the Lou, he entered the skills trade as a carpenter apprentice building custom homes for over 10 years. After graduating, he started his own general contracting business specializing in home remodeling + repair. In his spare time, Todd enjoys spending time with his family, watching a ball game + coaching his son’s baseball + soccer teams.

Sam received her MSW from UMSL. Being a native St. Louisan, Sam loves all things St. Louis sports. When not watching the Blues or Cardinals, you might find her at an Eric Church concert.

AJ attended the Art Institute of Atlanta for visual communications + graphic design. He enjoys traveling, music/video production, graphic art, photography + basically all things tech.

Leah grew up in the 314 and recently completed her Master’s in Social Work at UMSL with a focus on Leadership and Social Change. She enjoys reading, playing board games, + cruising around the city while admiring the historical architecture.

David is a proud graduate of Florissant Valley Community College + loves seeing people thrive. He produces music in his free time. He is a core in the quote, “We live our lives now because later is too late. Do something!”
Shirla is a Navy veteran committed to promoting change in her community. She loves empowering women + helping children of all ages. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her three children, listening to podcasts + watching documentaries.
Wade is from the community and wants to be part of the change happening in the area. He loves all the free activities in the city and all the different sporting events!
SHOW ME PEACE
Deveaon "Sahir" Bady grew up in the Walnut Park area and later moved to Laclede Town where he became gang affiliated and exposed to the drug game. As a result, he spent 13 years in prison for homicide and drug trafficking. Since his release in 2003, he has actively worked in social services and work force development to try and repair a community that he had an active role in destroying.
Site Supervisor - Wells/Goodfellow
Charles was raised in the Walnut Park neighborhood and grew up in an era that was prone to gun violence. He adopted these negative behaviors due to environmental risk factors, which led him to prison several times in his life. It was prison that introduced him to Christianity and he accepted the Lord as his personal savior. He wanted to become a better person and change became his life's mission, this is accomplished by him serving others.
Adam C. Butler, aka Stadic, started violence intervention work because he wanted to see change in our community. He grew up as one of the main parts of the problem and this was a chance for him to give back from what he feel like he’s taken from. He believes God blessed him to be here for a reason and he’s all in to create change.
Tavon is originally from Baltimore, Maryland. He relocated to St.Louis for the birth of his son and has been here since. He feels like violence intervention work called him and is excited to bring it to the South Side. He is also a licensed realtor in Missouri and is able to experience St. Louis through a diverse lens.
Monte' was born in North St. Louis + later moved to North County but traveled back + forth between the areas. Being part of both the city + county allowed Monte' to see a level of violence + hatred that needed to be combatted. He also lost a 15 year old son, making violence intervention work personal to him. Monte' is a also a second hand Minister for the State of Missouri for the Moorish Science Temple of America + uplifting fallen humanity is his passion.

Amir grew up on the St. Louis City West Side and considers himself at one point, part of the problem. He later realized that he could use his influence to intervene. He is now an activist that fight for justice wherever there is injustice. He is also the owner of The Real STL News, is a carpenter, and builds and races motorcycles.

Derrick, aka Dee, grew up in Walnut Park and is drawn to violence intervention work because he wants better for our children and elders. He knows that he can make things better and is willing to offer his help in any way to make our city safer. He considers himself an understanding, respectful gentleman who loves to help others.

Lamont “Bang” Roberts El , was born and raised on the city’s Northside known as 49 Bad, WPA, or Walnut Park Area in St. Louis. He used to be a menace to his own society, and upon returning to his hood he recognized the void in his community. He knew some severe issues needed to be addressed to help save our youth and community. He is now proud to say he’s a father, and black business owner in that same community and has overcome many trial and tribulations. His passions include music, art, and remodeling various projects. He is eager to help create the change that’s needed for our future.

Corey “Noon” Carter grew up in the Mark Twain, Walnut Park area. He was drawn to violence intervention work because he wants to give back to the city because he believes it is becoming overrun with violence and he wants to help. He is a people person, a team player and his favorite part of St. Louis is the Northside.

Reginald “CAT” Beasley grew up in East St. Louis/Washington Park. He does violence intervention work because he believes there is a need for peace amongst our elders, women and children. But, most of all, he wants to establish empathy amongst the brothers in our community so that there will be respect for other people’s lives. He is eager to provide solution-based information to the youth, men and women in our communities.

Mark grew up in the Walnut Park and is drawn to violence intervention work because he feels he can help young men learn that harming or killing someone doesn’t make you a man. His favorite part about the city is North St. Louis.

Tyra, a.k.a. Norky, grew up on the Westside of St. Louis. She was drawn to violence intervention work because she believes peace is everything and all of our children deserve to grow old and live life without the fear of violence.

Markus “Tank” was born and raised in the Dutchtown neighborhood and it is his favorite part of the city. He has been the victim of violence in the past and has since made a change in his life to serve his neighborhood. He is also the founder of Marquette Community Day.

Wes was born in the Cochran Projects in Downtown St. Louis. For a long time in his life he was part of the damage and violence in his community. He has lost valuable people in his life to gun violence. He is here to do his part to fix the community he has damaged and help make his city safe again.

Jeremy is a long-time resident of the Lindell Park - Jeff Vanderlou neighborhood and it is favorite thing about St. Louis. He enjoys reading, cycling + exploring the city - he is on a mission to try not to take the same route twice! Jeremy is a morning person, loving all things coffee and breakfast.

Senior Vice President of Engagement
Jason Watson is a dedicated community leader + St. Louis native, born + raised in the Walnut Park neighborhood. His personal experiences resonate deeply with those he serves, as he has faced many of the same challenges. For the past 10 years, Jason has been a vital part of Mission St. Louis, starting in workforce development. His efforts in this program garnered him recognition with the Young Professionals Award by The St. Louis American. Now serving in executive leadership as the Senior Vice President of Engagement he is passionate about community involvement. He oversees the SHOW ME PEACE program, which focuses on violence intervention + aims to create safer neighborhoods. Jason is a proud father of three sons—DeJuan, Jalen, + Isaiah—who he says have played a pivotal role in inspiring positive changes in his own life. Their influence motivates him to create a better community for future generations.
Rachel graduated from Webster University with a Bachelor’s in Educational Studies +Business. In her spare time she enjoys playing sports, hiking + spending time with her family.
Lauren is passionate about assisting + serving people, she considers giving her sixth love language! She loves to laugh, travel, holiday celebrations + birthdays. Her favorite things about St. Louis are the food + the all of the different outdoor activities.

Kenny is passionate about life and the pursuit of one’s full potential. He is a natural leader and communicator who seeks to build others up, as well as unify individuals towards a common purpose and mission. He is a learner who loves to share knowledge as well as a jokester who enjoys making others laugh.
Lesley, originally from Chicago, moved to Beyond Jobs after three years with Beyond School. She earned her degrees from SIU-Carbondale +Union University. She taught school in Chicago + Memphis for 15 years. She's a proud mother of four wonderful children.

Beverly enjoys spending time with her family, working with seniors + being involved in the community. Her favorite thing about St. Louis is the architecture.

Kelvin went to St. Louis Community College to train as a Community Health Worker. He loves to hunt or fish in his free time, + his favorite things about St. Louis are the parks, the food + the beautiful people.

Ny’Sha aka Molly grew up on the Northside of St. Louis and moved to the Southside when she was 14. She was drawn to violence intervention work because she misses the safety she felt growing up. Ny’Sha wants so desperately for the next generation to feel as safe and free as she did sitting on the front porch, jumping rope or simply enjoy the day worry free.

LaSha grew up on the North Side of St. Louis and was drawn to violence intervention work because she wants to help others.
Community Resource Specialist
Toni has devoted her life to serving the people of her hometown in North City. Toni graduated from STLCC-Florissant Valley with a certificate in addiction studies + an associate's degree in human services. She then went on to UMSL to earn a bachelor's degree in social work. Toni is committed to helping people gain the knowledge, tools, + confidence they need to achieve their goals. She enjoys spending her free time with family + loved ones + going on Carnival cruises.

Senior Director of Accounting/Comptroller
Cassie has her Associates degree in accounting from Hickey School, a B.S. in business administration + M.S. in accounting from Fontbonne University. She is a perservant runner who has become co-ambassador of Black Girls Run! St. Louis. She is dedicated (or crazy enough) to have completed a 10k on a cane.
Originally from Lithuania, Dovi enjoys traveling, reading + spending time with friends and family. Her favorite things about St. Louis are toasted ravioli + gooey butter cake!
Komal has a Masters of Science in Mathematics + joins Mission: St. Louis as a Staff Accountant. She enjoys shopping + being outside. Her favorite thing about St. Louis is the people + her new job!
Roxanne is excited to join the M:STL family! Outside of works she likes to go to the parks in St. Louis, have picnics + she does content creation on the side.
Seth graduated from Greenville College, now Greenville University, + joins the Mission: St. Louis staff as a Senior Accountant. He has been running competitively since the sixth grade through college. He now enjoys running marathons + triathlons & has completed one Ironman! Seth + his wife have been foster parents since 2019, welcoming the birth of their daughter in 2017 + adopted their second in 2023. Their home is now full but they continue to advocate for children in the system.

Liz moved to St. Louis from Detroit to serve older adults in the city. Within Mission: St. Louis, she loves transforming neighborhoods into places where seniors can thrive. She enjoys running, reading, + Diet Coke.
Director of Beyond Jobs Grants Compliance
Jonathan has an M.A. in Organizational Leadership + Development from Maryville University + his B.A. in Urban Education from Harris-Stowe. As a native St. Louisan, he is excited to see his hometown continue to flourish. He enjoys taking advantage of the city’s many parks, museums + restaurants.
Shannon has his BS from Southeast Missouri + MDiv/CE from Southern Seminary. If you need a pal to go to see St. Louis sports with, Shannon is your man! He loves everything Cardinals + Blues almost as much as he loves playing with his grandchildren. His favorite thing about St. Louis is all the unique food.

Ashley is a Taylor Swift scholar (literally!) having earned her Master’s Degree in Modern + Contemporary Literary Studies from Trinity College Dublin. She loves St. Louis sports + their dedicated fan base.
Aman was raised in St. Louis and her favorite things about the city are the food, cute neighborhoods + St. Louis pride. She enjoys reading, trying out different boba places + thrifting. She is excited to join M:STL and contribute to the work being done!

Josh is the Executive Director and Founder of Mission: St. Louis. He loves spending time with his family, fishing + all things LSU.

Joy earned her MSW with a Management Specialization from Washington University + a B.S. in Psychology from Furman University to help her understand human behavior + how to effectively run nonprofits. She + her husband Jeff have 2 kids, Cole + Haley. She is originally from the Atlanta + loves spending time at the lake, college football + with family.

Andy, a Kansas City native, worked in finance + strategy at several Fortune 100 companies + holds a Finance degree from Truman State + a Master's of Divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary. He’s married with four children + when he’s not coaching his kids' soccer teams, he enjoys taking the Champ (family Doberman) to the park, rooting on the KC Chiefs + the St. Louis City SC!
Amy has her MSW from Washington University. She ensures our programs have their intended effect on the community. Amy enjoys bike riding, Pinochle + the Cardinals (go Joe Kelly!).

Katie received her Bachelor's of Art + Holistic Health from Georgian Court University + a Master's in Nonprofit Management from UMSL. Katie has a passion for trivia, tea, service + America. She hopes to one day be on the Amazing Race.
